On breaking up

A spring hook breaks halfway up the mountain.

An iceberg falls off the glacier and collapses in the sea.

A shark, caught by fishermen, aborts her children.

A thorn, pulled out of a palm.

A string bounces after launching an arrow.

A beak breaks the shell from the inside.

A bee tears the spider web.

A spring river grumbles, crushing the ice.

A new bud opens up with a quiet pop.

Kids made a paper boat, and it sails by the brook, through the melted snow, for all the town to see.
